While sailing with children can be a tough task, it is possible to have a carefree vacation with kids on a boat, even a baby. How so you ask? Let us give you a couple of tips:

INVITE SOME FRIENDS

It is always nice to have another adult couple on the boat. Besides the company for you and your kids, you will have another pair of eyes watching the kids.

SHORT SAILING DAYS

While they enjoy sailing and everything, kids get easily bored if they spend all day on the boat. Plan your itinerary so there is plenty of time for them to play, explore and discover on land.

GET A SPACIOUS BOAT

As we all know kids are like small batteries that never seem to run out of supply and the best way to handle them is to channel their energy. We always suggest taking a catamaran since there is plenty of space to walk around and has a level place to play even in motion. Catamarans provide more shade against sunburns as well.

INCLUDE THEM IN SAILING

Kids love to compete and if you tell them they can`t do something you know they will give their best to try and prove you wrong. Learning how to do sailing knots, fishing, snorkeling can all be a fun family activity on the boat. Every kid wants to learn something new.
