In the preseason (April, May, june they can cost 30 percent less than in the main part of the season (July and August). It is worth mentioning that most of the „marinas“ in Croatia are not your typical marinas. Most of the docking places in the towns on the islands are waterfront streets (in Croatian „riva”) where you can dock your boat and be sure it is safe. Another option is to grab a buoy that costs around 250-350kuna (35 -50€) depending where you are. Docking places in the marina cost from 100-200 euros depending on the boat size and the place.
Anchoring for the night is possible of course but not in every place because in some ports it is prohibited. Also if the weather is not perfect we do not recommend you anchor because there is a possibility that the anchor won’t hold for the night. At many places there are restaurants that will give you a free docking place if you have dinner at their place. Don`t worry .We know the best places and we choose them according to your budget and desire so you can be sure you will only spend as much as you planned to.
Gas (diesel) price can vary from 70-100 euros for a monohull and from 150-300 euros for a catamaran. Diesel is refilled at the end of the week because you are obligatory to return the boat full to the homeport.
The charter fee includes charter of a yacht with its equipment and full insurance for the yacht and crew during the charter period. Harbour dues out of domicile marina, fuel expenses, skipper, hostess and other extra services are not included in the charter fee.
The chartered yacht with complete equipment can be used only after the payment was regularly settled:
• 30-50% of the charter fee (down payment) upon booking
• 50-70% of the charter fee four weeks before commencement of the charter.
In order that the booking becomes final, the Charterer (you) undertakes to pay down payment on account of Charteree within the time period of 5 days since Charter Contract or invoice is sent to the Charterer.
The charter fee includes the usage of the yacht during charter period. In starting marina Charterer will pay for all extra requested services (skipper, hostess, transport, jet-ski, windsurf, etc.), transit log and final cleaning.
Also the Charterer is obliged to pay tourist tax approximately € 1,15 per person per day. You are also obliged to leave a security deposit for the boat, in amount depending on each boat in particular. The deposit can be given in cash or as a credit card slip. Other additional costs include mooring fees in your cruise destinations.
Please note that all the services in Croatia are paid in Kunas. Sometimes it is possible to pay mooring fees in Euros, but it depends on the marina and should be checked upon in advance. In restaurants, shops and supermarkets you can use credit cards as well, but not everywhere on the islands. However, there are ATM machines in some places.
Since Croatia is a mediterranean country there is a lot of sun especially in the summer. From May till October the weather conditions are perfect for a sailing holiday. Winds that are most common are jugo(south wind), bura(northeast wind) and maestral(northwest wind). Sea temperature in summer is between 22-28 degrees Celsius.
We are happy to say that all of our 4 popular sailing regions starting locations have an airport nearby. Dubrovnik, Pula, Split/Trogir and Zadar all have an airport located 30-45 minutes from the starting marinas. They are very well connected with airports in Frankfurt and London so it is not a problem to find a flight to Croatia, especially in the summer.
Skipper services are included in all our All inclusive services. If you wish to book just the yacht, please inform us so we can deduct the skipper fee on our offer. When you book a skipper you are obliged to provide him meals during your stay on the boat. If you would like to eat separately then you should give them 30 euros so they can have a decent meal as well.
Pillows, bed sheets, blankets are provided on every yacht and are included in the comfort pack along with wifi. Some charter companies provide beach towels but not always, that is why we suggest bringing your own. If you do not want to carry them you can easily find them in local supermarkets.
Of course they can but it should be announced before embarkation so that Charter Company can prepare the additional crew list. By the law you are obliged to report all the people on the boat.
Yes, Euro is official currency in Croatia.
If the Charterer (client) is for any reason unable to take the boat under possession in agreed time period, he can, if previously agreed with the Charter, find another person who shall instead of him undertake all obligations and rights stated in this contract. If a substitution can not be found the Charter will:
When you confirm your booking via e-mail or in person you will receive a Charter contract. After signing the contract you are obliged to pay 50 percent of the charter fee within 5 days to confirm your booking. When the advance payment is paid, the reservation is completed.
If you cancel the charter for any reason after booking confirmation we will keep:
Chartering the boat is always from Saturday to Saturday. You can rent the boat for less than a week but the charter will charge you for the full week. Exceptions are in pre and post season when there is no high demand for boats. In these periods it is possible to rent for less than a full week.
Only written complaints, signed by both parties are considered valid.
The Croatian tourist tax is official tax that must be paid by each visitor on holiday in Croatia. It is a onetime payment of 8 kunas per person per day (approximately 1.15 EUR/person/day) made in advance of embarkation (usually at check-in). Children under 12 years of age and disabled persons are exempt from the tourist tax.
Yes, it is possible. You can start in Split for example and sail to Dubrovnik just you need to pay the “return the boat” fee. Fee is around 500 euros depending on the charter and the boat. This fee can be avoided if your skipper returns the boat.
Berths, tourist tax, skipper meals, deposit, final cleaning…Depends which option you book, which boat you use and in which region you sail but no worries, before you arrive we will let you know all the potential costs that might occur.
If you are arriving with a personal vehicle you can always park them in the marina. Prices for parking are usually 20 euros per day. Sometimes it is possible to find a parking place for free outside of marina.
Security deposit is made when you arrive to the charter and can be payed in cheques, cash or card. Security deposit will be refunded in full amount when you return the yacht without any damages or defects. The charter only blocks a certain amount of money so they are sure they are able to cover the damages and reparations on the boat if they are clients fault. If you have a skipper then all of the liability is on him. Each boat is a subject to underwater inspection at the end of the sailing week as well as the upper part of the yacht. This is a standard procedure by all charters in Croatia.
Yes of course. 50 euros is the cost of embarking a pet on the boat payable upon your arrival to the marina.
