This route is ideal for those who want to escape the crowd and get lost in the shades of pine trees and crystal blue water. With many bigger and smaller islands it is easy to design a route where you can spend time in Croatia how you desire.

DUBROVNIK

The magnificent city of Dubrovnik! Once a republic and now a city that will leave you breathless. Situated in the southeast of Adriatic, the city was founded in the 7th century and made its influence and wealth in the middle ages as a merchant port . Between the 14th and 19th century, Dubrovnik ruled itself as a free state while they traded with the Turks, Austrians, Spain, Great Britain and even India! . Have a walk through the pearl of Adriatic and get lost in the city streets. The old town hides many secrets for those interested in revealing them. Come and feel the pulse of a city that still lives in some forgotten times and ways. City walls that were built from 11th until 13th century for protection against and invaders still offer an amazing view on the city. Dubrovnic Republic had the first quarantine in the world where each passenger had to spend 40 days to make sure he is not carrying a virus into the city. Since the city is located in the far southeast of Croatia it means it has a lot of sun and the most mediterranean climate.

In the last couple of years Dubrovnik is very famous with movie makers. Game of Thrones, Star Wars, National geographic and many others chose Dubrovnik for shooting. They have a pretty good reason. The architecture and history of Dubrovnik are unmatched by other cities and locations.

ELAFITI ISLANDS

„On the last day of his creations, God created the Elaphiti islands“ lord George Byron wrote in 17th century

Small archipelago located nearby Dubrovnik which consists of 3 larger and 5 smaller islands. Many aristocratic families from Dubrovnik Republic had their summer houses on these colorful islands. When you are there you can feel the time literally stopped. Everything seems quiet and peaceful and just perfect for a nice evening walk enjoying the sunset. Oranges, lemons, grapes and agava bushes are just a couple of horticultural sorts that grow here and make these islands an oasis of peace and beauty. Large number of churches and monasteries point out the huge connection between the Church and Croatian people.

KORČULA

According to a legend the town was founded by in the 12th century BC by a Greek hero Antenor. In the ancient times it was called Korkyra, hence today’s name Korčula. These days it is famous by the fact that Marco Polo was born there and that it has a wine sort called „Grk” that only grows on this particular island on the Adriatic sea. Korčula is ideal for afternoon swims and drinking cocktails on city walls. The city was built in such a way so it was easier to defend against the pirates. Near the town there are many vineyards and olive gardens that make this town even more charming, especially from the sea side. Beautiful landscape, interesting history and exquisite gastronomy bring in the sailors from all over the world to Korčula. We would like for you to see it as well.

LASTOVO

Located southeast from Korčula, the island is famous for Venecian architecture dating back to the 14th and 15th century but the island itself has been inhabited for almost a thousand years. In 2012 the Croatian government put it on the list of protected archipelagos because of its remarkable beauty and landmarks. Sailors love this island because it is very remote and far so people from  the coast can not easily arrive .The biggest village on the island was not built by the sea but inland so that the pirates could not see it from the seaside. Mediterranean architecture prevails in the village of Lastovo which these days has only around  100 habitants. Gardens with lemons and oranges that you can pick during your morning walk around the village will be one of the nicest memories from Croatia. Pittoresque and charming little place.

MLJET (NP)

Island national park located in the south Adriatic. The „greenest island in Croatia“ with pine trees covering  95 percent of the island. West part of the island is a national park with a lake. On the lake there is another island. On that small island is a benedictian monastery dating  all the way back to 12th century alongside St. Mary’s church. Island designed to go walking or biking where you can causally spot some of the Roman remains along the road. Mljet is very famous with couples, nature lovers and explorers.

Odyssey cave- located on the south side of the island, the cave is a well of stories and legends.

Legend about Odyssey tells a story how he got stranded in the cave with a nymph called Calypso who pretended to try and help him get back home to Greece. After 7 years in the cave fishing and singing with the nymph he was released by the order of the Gods. One of the most beautiful caves in Croatia which we highly recommend visiting.

STON

Small town famous worldwide for its walls (largest in Europe, second largest in the world after the Great wall of China) and seafood( mussels and oysters). Most important feature of this town are the salt plantations. In the times of Dubrovnik Republic they used to produce salt here and ship it all across Europe and even all the way to India!

*salt was very expensive in history because it was the only way to preserve meat and other products
